Upon establishment of the company in 2005, we started developing our original nano material. Two years after developing the material, we successfully developed new fiber that includes nano material. This fiber was highly assessed for its novelty, and we got the patent inJapan. Later, we developed the first “sports gear made for recovery” in the world. This wear was well received by many famous athletes inJapanand is now widely used by sports lovers too. After it expanded the number of the users in Self Defense Force, it has also dramatically increased its fans among hard workers who need to recover from fatigue. Planning and manufacturing of new recovery products for various fields such as nursing care, air and space industries are also under way. We, a general trading company of recovery products, create a global market of recovery products and cheer up people involved.

Before 1990, “the first generation sports wears” that are easy to move around, moist absorbance and quick to dry were the main stream. In 1990s, gears that enhance sports performance were born as “the second generation” sports wears. LZR Racer swimwear from Speedo International Limited is a good example of this generation. Most sports gears at that time were tightly fitted. In this movement of the market, we went ahead and developed “the third generation” sports wear. Venex Recovery wear is not so tightly fitted and “cannot be worn during exercises”. Venex Recovery wear is the only recovery wear that is used during rest. It is a revolutionary sports gear that enables athletes to enhance their performance by overcoming fatigue. It is made with special fiber made by our patented technology. Venex fiber is specially treated to aid the parasympathetic nervous system at night, by relaxing the blood vessels and increasing blood flow.
Technology
The autonomic nervous system consists of two different types of nerves—the sympathetic nerve and the parasympathetic nerve—that work in opposite ways of each other. The parasympathetic nerve becomes active at night, loosens whole muscles and makes your body relaxed. A lot of blood vessels, lymph channels and nerves run inside the muscles. The activated parasympathetic nerve widens blood vessels and lymph channels that had been tightened. This leads to the transportations of nutrition, oxygen and warm fresh blood to every corner of your body, and the removal of waste and fatigue-causing substances. This metabolism at night time enables you to recover from fatigue, and it is Venex Recovery wear that makes it happen by stimulating the parasympathetic nerve. According to our questionnaire, users answered that their sleep quality had improved and that they felt refreshed. In order to prove it scientifically, we measured the amount of chromogranin A in the saliva of the people who wore our recovery wear. The result showed that people’s mental stress has decreased. Also, we carried an experiment on users’ immune system. We observed an increase of lymphocytes. In conclusion, Recovery wear technology is based on activation of parasympathetic nervous system.

About Product
One of sports training theories is Overload Principle: you need to place bigger stress in order to improve physiological functions. In this way, that stressed physiological function will gradually adapt to the new situation. When your body gets some kind of stress or strain, it tries to adjust itself to the new situation over time. That’s why we increase the stress we place on our body during training in order to improve muscle strength or stamina. By repeating this training, you will begin to see the effect and improvement of performance. The growth you gained in performance is called “super recovery”. Is it true that the more exercise we do, the stronger our body becomes? Is it true that the more stress we impose on our body, the stronger it becomes? The answer is “No.”
When placing stress on muscle to improve muscle strength, fine muscle fibers get damaged temporarily. Later, the muscle produces stronger muscle fibers so that it won’t be damaged by the stress again. Generally speaking, major muscles such as greater pectoral muscle, latissmus dorsi muscle and quadriceps femoris muscle need longer time to recover, and small muscles (rotator cuff, digitorum muscle, mimetic muscles and etc.) recover relatively quickly. In either case, 24~48 hours (1~2 days) of rest is needed. If you continue training without taking enough rest, you cannot enhance your performance. Instead, the performance quality will decline and you will lose muscle strength too. In the worst case, you will experience not only performance decline, but also overtraining syndrome. Sometimes it even causes injuries or diseases.
Until 1980s, “persistence”, “effort” and “zeal” were valued as important mentalities in sports field. Of course, being mentally strong is one of key factors for competitors, but the difficult part of sports is that you cannot become strong just by repeating forceful training recklessly without taking a rest. Training works only when combined with recovery. Only when you keep balance between load and recovery, you will strengthen your body. You can even increase the effect by managing the diet.
Until recently, when we talked about training, we have paid attention only to imposing stress to our body. But actually, stress and recovery are two sides of one coin, and if you pay attention to “stress”, you also need to pay attention to “recovery”. Thus it’s important to take records of heart rate, weight, level of fatigue etc. regularly, such as when you wake up. Then, according to how much you have recovered, you can contrive the best training plan as well as recovery plan.
Now, let’s talk about autonomic nerves that have deep relationships with “stress” and “recovery”. Autonomic nerves comprise of two different nervous systems, sympathetic nerve and parasympathetic nerve, which works in the opposite ways each other. It rules our body without being controlled by our consciousness. Sympathetic nerve gets active when we are on “fight”, “exercise”, “labor” or when we are feeling “stress”. This nerve is active during daytime and promotes motions of our brain and muscle. At this time, blood vessels contract, heart rate increases, muscles tighten and the body becomes ready to respond quickly to various changes of the situation. Around the time of sunset, the activity of this nerve slows down and instead, parasympathetic nerve that works on “relaxing”, “resting”, “sleeping” and “inner organs’ function” becomes active. The main function of this nerve is repair and recovery of our body. When parasympathetic nerve gets active, blood pressure gets low and heart beating slows down gradually. And it helps our body and brain to recover by next morning from fatigue and damages from daytime activities. These two rhythms keep our body healthy. To take a rest actively, we need to keep these rhythms in order. If you feel tense or excited before going to bed, the sympathetic nerve gets dominant and you will have difficulty falling asleep. Even if you could fall asleep, you will have shallow sleep and will not have enough rest or recovery.
Desirable physiological factors for rest are the decrease of respiration, heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature. In either case, the parasympathetic nerve is dominant in your brain, making sleep center work dominantly and causes sleepiness. In this condition, the whole muscle of your body gets loose and relaxed. Tightened blood vessels also get loose and dilate and heart rate becomes low. There are a lot of blood vessels, lymph channels and nerves running inside your muscle. When tightened blood vessels and lymph channels get loose and broaden, nutrition, oxygen and hormones are transported with fresh blood to every parts of you body, and at the same time, unnecessary stuffs such as waste and fatigue causing substances are recalled. This active metabolism repairs and recovers your body and brain during night time, especially during sleep. The modern age is said to be full of stress. Long working hours, long commuting time, long hours of using computers, stress from human relationships, job pressure, irregular dietary life, lack of exercise and sleep, extreme hot summer, TV game etc. There are too many causes that are difficult to name them all. When you get these stresses, your sympathetic nerve gets activated. If you feel stress even at night time, it means that the sympathetic nerve is still active at night time and there is not enough time left for the parasympathetic nerve to “repair and recover” your body. In that way, it will break the balance between of sympathetic nerve and parasympathetic nerve. If you continue in this condition, you will begin to have various symptoms, such as, you feel your body is heavy, you feel tired, you cannot recover from fatigue and you cannot sleep. The important thing for modern people is to make parasympathetic nerve active and take longer time for recovery. This is so-called “active rest”. Our functional “Recovery wear” is specially designed for this recovery. With our recovery wear, you will have a better rest that enhances your training efficiency and performance.
Message from Us
Venex Recovery wear is a new sports wear category that changes the conventional ideas for sports wears. Conventional sports wears have been developed to be worn during exercises. On the other hand, Venex Recovery wear is loosely-fitted and being worn after exercises to help to recover from fatigue of the day. It is a sports wear that was made under a completely new concept and “cannot be worn during exercises”. As a wear aiming at recovery from fatigue, it has now gained a lot of fans-- not only among athletes but also among general people who are troubled by accumulated daily fatigue. Long working hours, long commuting time, long hours of using computers, stress from human relationships, job pressure, irregular dietary life, lack of exercise and sleep, extreme hot summer, TV game etc. There are too many causes that keep their sympathetic nerve too active. Bodies that feel stress even at night will keep the sympathetic nerve on and “repair and recovery” by parasympathetic cannot catch up. In short, the balance between active time with sympathetic nerve and recovery time with parasympathetic nerve is out of order. If this condition continues, you will feel your body heavy, feel fatigue and cannot sleep well. If the parasympathetic nerve functions properly during sleep, fatigue will be gone by next morning, your body will recovere and you will feel energized. If the autonomic nerves go out of order, you may have dysautonomia eventually. It is important to try to reduce your stress all the time and make the parasympathetic nerve active. However, it is impossible to change your job or human relationship over night. You cannot turn your parasympathetic nerve on with your own will, either. Here is where our recovery wear can help to increase the quality of your sleeping time. Since long, it has been said that being relaxed and loosening your muscle is good for making the parasympathetic nerve dominant. Our wish is that many of you (as many people as possible) use our recovery wear for that purpose and feel energized.
